Son-Rise Facilitators NEEDED…
Would you like a rewarding job and make a massive difference in Henry’s life?
This is a really exciting opportunity to work with a great team and help change a little boys life.
Henry is making incredible progress since we started the Son-Rise Program in February 2008. We have now done the Start-Up and New Frontiers courses and have 70 hours of training each.
We have now decided to do the Son-Rise Program full-time and have taken Henry out of school as from September 2008. We intend to run the program from 9am – 4pm Monday-Friday which is around 35 hours per week.
We currently have 4 volunteers doing between 4/8 hours each week but require another 2/3 dedicated volunteers to help.
How much time do I need to give?
A minimum of 4 hours a week for a minimum of 6 months. (Can be split over different days but only 2 hours maximum at one time)
Regular discussions/observations to review progress, set targets and goals and exchange ideas.
We also have bi-weekly team meetings which you would need to attend. These last for about an hour and a half.
Where?
Henry’s purpose built playroom in the family home, Sutton Coldfield.
What qualifications/experience are required?
No qualifications/experience are required. The program is based on a simple philosophy (read about it here) that is straight forward and easy to understand – but not as easy to implement!
Volunteers need to have the three E’s – Energy, Enthusiasm & Excitement, but also need huge patience, stamina, focus and observation skills as well as a lack of self consciousness!
What else?
We will occassionally need to record the sessions through the two-way mirror so that progress can be reviewed and assessed.
Are you STILL INTERESTED?
